CCLS intensive English program for International Students (F-1 Visa) features 13 levels of instruction, from beginning to advanced. Our intensive English classes enable the students to communicate effectively in English and it also prepares the students for English proficiency exams like TOEFL and TOEIC.

Course length: 4 or 5 weeks per level /18 hours per week, starting every month.

Small classes: Average of 6 students per group

FAQ’s

What is the minimum age for a student to study at CCLS Miami
CCLS accepts unaccompanied students who are 18 years old. Students accompanied by an adult in Miami may enroll in courses starting at 12 years of age. We reemphasize that the average age of students is 25.
When do the courses start?
Our courses begin every month, usually during the first week of each month.
What is the course load/schedule of the courses?
There are 18 hours per week, with classes from Monday to Friday. The student completes a level in 4 weeks (levels 1 to 6) or 5 weeks (levels 7 to 13).
Can the student choose the class schedule?
No. The class schedules are determined by CCLS according to the level of the student. The classes are in the morning, most of the time.
What is the minimum and maximum course time for an F-1 student visa?
Minimum of 4 weeks and maximum of 14 months
How much does each course (level) cost?

How does the price table discount work?
A student that pays for one period/ course each time would pay $750 for each course, regardless of the level.
If the student pays for 2 or more periods/ courses in full, he/she receives a discount.
What types of accommodations are offered?
There are family houses, dorms, hotel suites and hotels.
What is the cost of the accommodations?
The cost depends on the type of accommodation, the time of the year, and the length of the stay.
A room in a family home in 2011 costs between US$250.00 – US$290.00 per week with breakfast and dinner included.
Is it necessary to obtain the F-1 student visa to do the intensive course?

What are the fees to apply for the student visa?
At the moment, the fees are:
- Application fee = US$100.00
- Fee for sending the I-20 document to Brazil = US$55.00
- I-901 Fee, paid to the American government = US$200.00
In addition, there are consular interview fees (paid at the Consulate/Embassy)
How soon should the F-1 student visa be applied for?
The student should contact the embassy/consulate where the interview will be done and inquire about the time period for the interview.

CCLS issues the I-20 document in a period of one week after receiving all the documentation and payment of application/courier fees.

Mailing of the I-20 to the student’s country can take between 5 and 10 days, depending on the location. The I-20 document is required for the interview.

Does CCLS Miami offer extracurricular activities?
No. We only offer language courses.
